115 years ago this week the Daylight-Saving Act (‘Summer Time’) was passed, 41 years ago the Cricket Council reversed a decision to allow South African cricketers to tour England following pressure from the Home Secretary James Callaghan, 37 years ago Prince Charles called a proposed addition to the National Gallery, London, a 'monstrous carbuncle on the face of a much-loved and elegant friend' and 7 years ago this week judges ruled that the remains of Richard III should stay in Leicester and have a dignified reburial.

- When things get stressful or a little bit hectic, some kind of mindful practice is good to calm and centre yourself. Mindful Creative Muse is a YouTube channel that provides mindful activities to help you to relax and destress. Why not try this mindfulness drawing meditation exercise called “drawing the breath” or art for stress relief.

- IMDB (Internet Movie Database) is an online database of information relating to all things film, television and video games. It is now one of the best-known websites on the internet and was created in 1990 by Col Needham in Bristol. You can use IMDB to search for information about pretty much any film or television series you can think of. It gives you details about the cast, production and associated trivia. Ever wanted more information about Marilyn Monroe? Wondered the name of Alec Guinness’ character in Lawrence of Arabia? Or which films won BAFTA's in 1968? IMDB has it all!

- We are now very much in the middle of the cricket season and hopefully, we will start to see matches being played near us soon. But, do you know the rules of cricket? This article provides a clear explanation of the rules and all of the information that you might need.

- Although Bristol Zoo announced a move last year, they continue to be very busy! The last year has seen a new pygmy hippo arriving at the zoo, as well as the births of a sloth, a tiny mouse deer and two gorillas!
