Project name: Optimum Health in Later Life – Supporting Older People to Live Well, Work and Volunteer
The project is a dynamic programme of activities designed to drive cultural change within organisations, enabling staff and volunteers aged 55+ to thrive in work and enjoy an active older life.
The project will collaborate with senior leaders in workplaces to help them understand and address the barriers faced by their 55+ workforce, recognise the value of this demographic, and promote age-friendly policies and practices. This includes implementing flexible working arrangements and providing early support for issues around health or caregiving.
The project also focuses on creating proactive plans to support the 55+ staff and volunteers, ensuring they thrive at work and lead active fulfilling lives. This initiative offers senior leaders and employees aged 55+ the chance to coproduce age-positive action plans and participate in workplace well-being initiatives that enhance self-care and overall well-being.

Listen to the attached video, where Dr Elizabeth Thompson, NCIM Founder, CEO & Integrative Medicine Doctor, talks about how the grant would support older people to live well, work, and volunteer across Bristol.
We are so delighted to again be working with St Monica Trust to deliver culture change in organisations across Bristol for people in later life. We have been delivering optimum health in later life for doctors in training and have a special interest in how to activate health and well-being in the workplace with senior leaders, employees and volunteers.
