Nursing care has been part of the vision for St Monica Trust since the charity began in Bristol, nearly 100 years ago.
What is nursing care?
Nursing care offers older people living within a care home environment access to nursing 24 hours a day, with additional supported provided by GPs. This type of care is ideal for those who require regular medical support. Our fully equipped care homes are designed to support those with nursing care needs to get the most out of life.
Nursing care at St Monica Trust
The St Monica Trust began as one nursing care home, the St Monica Home of Rest. Now offering nursing care at each of our four specially designed homes in Bristol and North Somerset, we’ve come a long way.
We enjoy nothing more than getting to know our residents and the whole team works together to support you as an individual. You can rest assured that our registered nurses are on hand 24 hours a day. Take your pick from the wide variety of activities on offer each week and become part of a welcoming community where you are valued and respected. Enjoy the delicious and nutritionally-balanced food cooked from scratch by our team of chefs. If you need a little help getting mobile our on-site physiotherapists are on hand. Meanwhile our pastoral care team are available to support you, whether you’re of a particular faith, religious affiliation or none.
We are still accepting admissions where possible. Please call our admissions team for more information.

Carers to registered nurses and management. They were all brilliant. I would recommend this care home to everyone.
The staff are welcoming, helpful and competent. We are confident that my cousin is being well cared for and helped in every way possible.
After having a really stressful time with mum having to go into hospital several times, I can relax for the first time knowing she is safe and being looked after by kind and caring staff.
The caring staff and medical staff work as a team very successfully. They are very friendly to residents and visitors alike.
Meet Tracey
"The thing I love about working with our residents is that no two days are the same. Everyone has so many stories to tell, here they are a person first and their health conditions second. And spending time together we have so much fun."
Tracey, Registered Nursing Associate
